Hail Province Amana

Hail Province Amana is one of the seventeen municipalities distributed across the thirteen provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for the urban development of Hail Province, aiming to achieve sustainable tourism and preserve and invest in the region's cultural and environmental heritage both locally and Arab-wide. Among its responsibilities is innovatively providing municipal services to citizens and residents, and the Mayor heads it.

Hail Province Municipality is organizationally affiliated with the Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, headquartered in Hail City. It is only 1.7 km away from the seat of the Emirate of the region, and it is followed by seventeen municipalities, including: Anbwan Municipality, al-Ajfar Municipality, Faid Municipality, al-Hulaifah Municipality, al-Shinan Municipality, Sumaira'a Municipality, Moukq Municipality, al-Kahfah Municipality, al-Shamli Municipality, and al-Rawda Municipality.

Hail Province Amana was established in 1961. Mamdouh bin Sulaiman al-Ali was the first to hold the Mayor of Hail position. Since then, the municipality has witnessed several developments and has been overseen by thirteen mayors and secretaries until 2021.

In 2005, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (at that time) issued several decisions. These decisions included naming the province's municipalities, the association of municipalities and rural complexes, and the abolition of the general directorates for municipal and rural affairs. This was based on the Municipal and Rural System issued in 1976 and the Council of Ministers' decision in 2003. As a result, the name of the Hail Province Amana was changed to Hail Amana. Additionally, the municipalities and rural complexes in the region were linked to the Mayor.

In 2021, the Constituent Assembly of the Hail Province Company held its first meeting. The company carries out several tasks, most notably achieving urban balance in the city, developing the municipality's lands and slums, and motivating the private sector to participate in urban, economic, educational, entertainment, and public transport projects.

The Hail Province Amana has several mandates within its jurisdiction, including paving roads and streets, implementing and maintaining gardens and parks, treating swamps and water collection points, constructing and maintaining projects to drain floods on roads and streets, executing public slaughterhouses projects, implementing and maintaining public markets and designated markets, implementing and maintaining aesthetic sculpture projects, preparing and equipping waste burial grounds, distributing waste containers, supervising the issuance of various professional licenses, monitoring bakeries, factories, and shops to verify the validity of their products, ensuring the cleanliness of streets, squares, parks, slaughterhouses, and public places, among other tasks.
