What Initiatives Have Been Launched by the Fashion Commission in the Kingdom?
The Fashion Commission has contributed to the enrichment of the cultural scene in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by launching initiatives and events, including the Fashion Female Leaders Program “Elevate”, which supports the next generation of most ambitious females engaged with and contributing to the fashion sector development in the Kingdom. Another initiative is the national competition "WeavInk", a part of the Year of Arabic Calligraphy 2021 initiatives, aimed at inspiring fashion students in the Kingdom and raising awareness about the beauty and diverse uses of Arabic calligraphy through designs. Additionally, the commission's "100 Saudi Brands" mentorship program selects one hundred Saudi fashion designers to participate in a year-long series of specialized training and mentoring programs led by global fashion industry experts. Moreover, the "Fashion Incubator Program" attracts outstanding Saudi talents in the fashion industry, providing a platform that enhances their entrepreneurial journey, and helping them become prominent leaders in the sector in local, regional, and international markets.

The commission covers all stages of the value chain, from the design process through production and development to product lifecycle management. This includes traditional, heritage, and contemporary fashion. The commission has a public legal personality and financial and administrative independence and is organizationally linked to the Ministry of Culture.
