Al-Jeel Sports Club in al-Ahsa is one of the sports clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its main headquarters is located in al-Hufuf Neighborhood, al-Ahsa Governorate, the Eastern Province. The club was established in 1976 and is overseen by the Ministry of Sport.

Beginnings

The early beginnings of al-Jeel Sports Club date back to 1975, when there were two teams: the first named al-Ittihad al-Sharqi Club (which had preliminary recognition) and the second named al-Okhowa Club (which was preparing to obtain preliminary recognition from the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, now the Ministry of Sport). In that year, it was decided to merge the two clubs into one under the name al-Ittihad al-Sharqi. However, the General Presidency of Youth Welfare later changed the name to al-Jeel Club.

Al-Jeel Club has a distinctive logo that sets it apart from other clubs in the Kingdom. The logo includes the club's establishment date in both the Gregorian and Hijri calendars, as well as the club's name in English. The yellow and light blue colors are characteristic of the club and represent the colors of the team's official uniform.

The number of registered players in al-Jeel Club reaches 268 players. The club is affiliated with four sports federations.

The sports activities at al-Jeel Club encompass ten different games, which are: football, handball, taekwondo, karate, tennis, squash, swimming, e-sports, badminton, and judo.

Achievements

Throughout its sports career, al-Jeel Club has achieved numerous accomplishments, including 150 different championships. Some of the most notable achievements are the promotion of the first football team to the First Division League in the 2017-2018 season, the promotion of the junior football team to the Premier League in the 2019-2020 season, winning the Kingdom's Premier League Championship for the youth category in the 2017-2018 season, and the promotion of the youth football team to the Premier League in the 2020-2021 season.

In individual sports, the club has also achieved multiple accomplishments, including winning the Premier League Shield in tennis several times. Additionally, the youth handball team was promoted to the Premier League in the 2017-2018 season.
