The Masar Destination Project is located in the western part of the Holy Capital, along King Abdulaziz Road leading to the Grand Mosque. It starts from the Third Ring Road, crosses the First Ring Road at the western edge of Jabal Omar, and reaches the outskirts of the Grand Mosque. This long-term urban development project aims to provide integrated services that improve the services offered to the residents and visitors of Makkah al-Mukarramah. The project is being implemented by Umm al-Qura for Development and Construction, under the supervision of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites.
The project covers an area of 1.24 million m and is located 550 m away from the courtyards of the Grand Mosque. It offers multiple routes to access the Grand Mosque and features areas on both sides enhanced with social, recreational, and cultural services and facilities. These include shopping centers, hotels, and restaurants, along with infrastructure that supports the needs of the destination.
The Masar Destination project respects the privacy and spirituality of Makkah al-Mukarramah and its cultural heritage, contributing to the enhancement of services provided to visitors. It supports the achievement of two programs from Saudi Vision 2030: the Quality of Life Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program. The project offers accommodation solutions, various service facilities, and diverse investment and employment opportunities.
