The BugBounty Platform is a platform that connects companies and organizations with cybersecurity researchers within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a national platform that covers all potential threats within government websites and private sector websites. Launched on April 23, 2019, this initiative is part of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones. Over three hundred companies have registered on the BugBounty Platform, and it boasts approximately fifteen thousand security researchers. Each researcher receives a monetary reward for discovering technical and security bugs in websites and applications. The platform's regulatory work is to manage the relationship between the researchers and contracting entities, oversee and supervise the transactional processes, and preserve the rights of all parties.

Objectives

The BugBounty Platform aims to support cybersecurity researchers and develop their technical expertise by providing a platform that offers opportunities and connects them with relevant entities. This platform initiative seeks to enhance collaboration between government entities and contribute to the protection and security of websites and applications for service providers across various sectors. Additionally, the platform's work supports regulatory oversight and advances cybersecurity to a more experienced and mature level.

Agreements

The BugBounty Platform, represented by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, has signed numerous agreements with public entities and private sectors. These include an agreement on the initiative with the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission to register telecom and tech companies on the platform. This agreement aims to support small and medium-sized companies with dedicated free packages for discovering software bugs and protecting tech products. Additionally, an agreement was signed with the General Entertainment Authority in Riyadh, to protect its facilities from cyberattacks.
