When Was the Council of Economic and Development Affairs Established?
The Council of Economic and Development Affairs was established on January 29, 2015, under the Royal Order No. A/69. The council is chaired by the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz. It comprises a group of members appointed by a Royal Order.
The council is concerned with economic and developmental matters, organizing them in a manner that assists the state in implementing all its directives related to economic and developmental affairs. It is structurally affiliated with the Council of Ministers and was established alongside the Council of Political and Security Affairs after the dissolution of twelve government agencies.
