The Edge of the World, located near al-Uyaynah west of Riyadh City, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is one of the peaks of the Tuwayq Mountains. It rises to an altitude of 1,131 m above the surrounding plains and is considered one of the tourist destinations in the Kingdom.
Location
The Edge of the World is about one hundred km away from Riyadh City, and it is a part of the vast Tuwaiq Escarpment, stretching for over eight hundred km across the center of the Kingdom. Historically, it overlooked an ancient trade route used for crossing the Arabian Peninsula. Climbing to the Edge of the World typically takes between fifteen to thirty minutes, and reaching it usually requires a four-wheel-drive vehicle to navigate the rugged terrain.

The Edge of the World is one of the desert tourist destinations in the Kingdom, alongside places like an-Nufud al-Kabir desert, Nufud al-Qawz, Nufud al-Jubbah, Nufud al-Arqqanah, Mount Nileat, Aja and Salma Mountains, an-Nufud al-Sagher desert, Rawdat Noura, Shaib al-Shawkie, Wadi al-Touqi, Rawdat al-Tanahat, Nufud Saad, Rawdat al-Khafs, Nufud Umm al-Shuqaiq and its garden, Rawdat Khuraim, al-Thumamah, Jabal al-Lawz, Wadi ad-Disah, and Wadi al-Qamar.
It is one of the favorite destinations during autumn and winter due to its moderate weather, especially for hiking enthusiasts.
