The Saudi Cycling Federation is one of the sports federations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is affiliated with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. It is the responsible authority for cycling and the manager of its local and international championships. Its headquarters is located in the capital city, Riyadh. It was founded in 1963.
Tasks of the Saudi Cycling Federation
The federation oversees the execution of several tasks, including motivating the community to practice cycling and promoting it, training and preparing cyclists for participation in international competitions, and aiming to make cycling one of the top five sports in the Kingdom by 2030.
The Saudi Cycling Federation championships
The Saudi Cycling Federation organizes several championships, for both women and men, including the Federation's Shield for Juniors, the Federation's Shield for Youth, the Federation's Shield for Young Adults, and the Federation's Shield for Seniors. Additionally, it organizes club tours for road races. The number of clubs affiliated with the federation is eighty-two, and the number of players is 824.
Objectives of the Saudi Cycling Federation
The Saudi Cycling Federation aims to develop and promote cycling in general, encourage Saudi youth to be active and stay healthy as a sports federation, and develop and implement appropriate programs for cyclists and athletes to compete locally and internationally.
